‘House & Land’, ‘Turn Key Contracts’... There are a lot of buzz words around when you start looking into building a home, but what do they actually mean? And which option will suit you and your lifestyle? The Latitude Homes team are here to help, let’s delve into two main building options;
A House & Land Package, also referred to as a Home & Land Package, consists of land & a predetermined house plan - chosen to suit the piece of land it’s coupled with. Yes, the house plan is chosen but that doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to put your own design on it. There are many choices you’ll be making throughout the build process to make the house your home.
House & Land Packages can vary but generally include:
You will also notice that most of our House & Land packages are part of up and coming lifestyle communities throughout New Zealand, such as; Paerata Rise, Longview, Otaki Gardens, and Ravenswood. These are a great option to be a part of as the whole area is being purpose built around you with great amenities such as bus routes, schools, shops, cafes and parks in walking distance.
A Turn Key Contract or ‘Turnkey Home’ is similar to a 'house & land' package but instead of using a building loan, as you would for most new builds, you require a 10% deposit to secure it with us. Once the build is complete you pay the remaining balance and move in – it’s as easy as turning a key!
